Sack Truck - SR Okehampton

We seem to have more than our share of sack trucks, some which have ‘always’ been at the station, and others which arrived from elsewhere. Some are restored, or at least repaired, whilst others are broken or incomplete. We don’t really know much about them. There’s a vacancy for a sacktruck tsar.

Illustrated here is a Southern Railway one which has had its paintwork refreshed, but is otherwise original. It’s actually used from time to time for its original purpose – for some inexplicable reason we seem to move stuff around the station quite frequently.
